Welcome, and thank you for visiting Hillview Baptist Church online. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.
We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
Our church offers several opportunities for service through our Bible Studies, Mission Projects, Outreach, Youth, Student, Children, and Mens/Ladies Ministries, and many other areas that your family can become a part of.
Our Sunday morning Sunday School classes begin at 9:00 a.m. each week and there are classes available for all ages. Join us in our Educational Building for your small group Bible Study.
Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday night Bible Study at 6:30 p.m.
Any additional services or Bible studies will be announced on our website and FB page.
EXCITING NEWS FOR EASTER SUNDAY!
We just want to share some exciting news - WE WILL HAVE EASTER SERVICES THIS SUNDAY!!! Although we won't be sitting in the pews under the roof of our sanctuary at Hillview, we do invite you to come out to the church and sit in the comfort of your vehicle and listen to our church services via 1470 AM or 98.5 FM at 9:45 a.m.! Bro. Jim Johnson and Bro. Brandon Cochran so graciously agreed to record our services on KWRD so that we can celebrate the true meaning of EASTER with one another! We're so excited and we hope you are too! We have truly missed gathering together with everyone and, although we'll be in our vehicles, just knowing you are here will be a blessing to everyone! Tell your family and friends to tune in Sunday morning or feel free to invite them to come out and join us here at the church because it will be a special time. Here is what you can expect:
* When you pull into the church parking lot via the front highway entrance, our Deacons will give everyone a bulletin so that you can follow along with our services.
* During our time of Worship, please sing along (the lyrics will be provided in your bulletin)!
* After our services end, we ask that you pull under the covered area ~ our Deacons will give everyone a Lord's Supper Packet so that you can experience communion with your family at home. We will include information for your home's spiritual leader(s) so that they can guide you through this special time.
* We will have our offering plates available so that you can give to the Lord your tithes and offerings. This can be done as you pull through the covered area after the services.
* Your health and safety is very important to us so please know that our Deacons will keep in mind the social distancing when approaching your vehicles and the handling of your Lord's Supper Packets (these will be packaged using plastic gloves so no worries) as well as our offering plates.
Please spread the word and we hope to see you Sunday morning! Please arrive by 9:30 a.m. so that we can all be parked and ready (without cars driving around) when our services go on air!
Our Events Calendar has been updated with dates for the remainder of the year. Please check it out and make plans to join us anytime!
Visit our Children & Youth pages for more information on their upcoming events.
We have been blessed to be able to purchase a church bus to replace one of our older vans. After realizing how much safer and more reliable bus transportation can be vs. 15 passenger vans, we are still looking to purchase another new (or like-new) church bus (people mover) to replace our existing 2000 model. Donations are being accepted and would be greatly appreciated!

We invite to join our mailing list and receive emails we send out with news, special events, and prayer requests.

We hope that these options will make it convenient for you to give of your tithes & offerings as HE continually blesses us each day.
This Week's Sermon
Join us each Sunday morning for a special God-inspired message. God's word is a love letter to you and I so please come hear what He wants to say to you through His word.
There is a special time during each Sunday morning service that is designed especially for boys and girls ages 4 - 4th grade! Your child will enjoy singing songs, hearing bible stories, having fun playing games and even making crafts. (Children are dismissed from the Sanctuary to our Youth Building during the service.)
Wednesday Evening Study
Join us on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. for Bible Study, open discussion, and prayer. This is a great time together so please come and invite your friends and family.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID19):
After recent announcements from Governor Abbott and President Trump and in light of the school closings, dining areas of restaurants, and many other event/venue closings across our region, we thought we would touch base with everyone regarding our thoughts on this.
We have decided to temporarily cancel our regular Sunday church services and Wednesday evening Bible Studies until further notice. Although we are a smaller church and we feel that the threat of spreading this flu-type illness is at a minimum, your health and safety is too important to take any risks.
This type of illness is no different than taking precautions for any seasonal flu in that if you (or your children) have a fever, cough, runny nose, or any symptom that has your immune system working on low, please avoid contact with others. We encourage you to practice social distancing and wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. Together, we can stop this!
We're praying for each of you as we charter these waters of uncertainty and, in some cases, unnecessary panic over things we can't control. This is a great time to remember Matthew 6:26-27 that says, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
God has us in His hands! He loves us and takes such good care of us!! Think about that! Don’t worry! Trust Him! Let's stand together in faith, knowing that God is on His throne and has this under control!
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of our Deacons and they will be glad to discuss it with you.
